We do all our poster titles on a Mac and Imagewriter II printer. The
template is a 4-page long MacDraw or Canvas banner. It is printed out
using the "no break between pages" setting in "best" mode and the
perforations between the pages are strengthened with scotch tape on the
back so the pages don't separate. Works great. The lower resolution is
practically unnoticeable from the distance that poster titles are viewed.
You could conceivably use the old shareware "Banner" program (if it still
works under the current System version), and PrintShop from Broderbund
also has a banner option.
