Just installed Slackware linux on my own PC (and love it). The CD-ROM
version comes with the p2c pascal to C translator and the f2C Fortran 77 to
C translator. I don't know if these are sufficient for people's programming
needs but they are readily available. Being more of a biologist than a computerprogrammer I can't comment on their utility (I still use Pascal or BASIC for
my quick hacks - does anyone know of a good BASIC compiler for Slackware linux?) Bernard
