Dear netters,
I have been reading with atention the "1993 BIONEWS/bionet.announce
Readership Survey" by Dave Kristofferson and I have to admit that I am
using E-Mail, too instead of NEWS.
I would change immediately IF ONLY I COULD.
I have been informed by several persons about the advantages of NEWS to
E-Mail but we are protected here by a "firewall" system. The only open gate
is the one for E-Mail. So if there is someone out there who could give me
some informations how to bypass this firewall (not only for NEWS but
Gopher, WAIS and WWW as well), I would be very happy.
I am using a MacIntosh connected by MacTCP 2.0.4 and an onboard
Ethernet Card.
