PIR-International Release 41 is now available for anonymous FTP
from the UH Gene-Server. The url is
ftp://ftp.bchs.uh.edu/pub/gene-server/pir/pir_rel41
There are two directories: vms and ascii. The ascii files are compressed
with the usual Unix compress(1) command. See the 000README. file for
directions on how the VMS files are compressed.
The usual conversion of VMS LZW to VMS LZ (the latter compatible with
compress(1) is going to take a bit longer due to a lack of VMS disk
space.
