DNA WorkBench - Mac version improved -
A new version of the Perl language implementation for the Macs has just
been released and is available at the ftp site mentioned below.
This new version allows the DNA WorkBench program to access up to 32
internet connections at a time, and removes the bottleneck that has
existed when trying to search all of GenBank in parallel, for example
when looking for all sequences containing the motif ACCTG followed
at some point by the motif GTTCA or GTTCC:
sequence ACCTG.*GTTC[AC] gball
The programs are available by anonymous ftp at cbil.humgen.upenn.edu
in the directory pub/dnaworkbench. The new port of Perl is in
directory pub/dnaworkbench/mac/perl.
