It's not a Mac MS-Word specific problem.  We use Mac MS-Word (and Mac
WordPerfect) to format search results and haven't seen this problem.  From our
experience here, BLAST results are formatted with spaces not tabs and changing
the font will line up both the alignments and histograms.
