I don't know if this is the right place, but I am looking for a simple
bit of software that would allow one to construct a breeding program to
produce a particular result. For example, I know that there are 9 possible
phenotypes, I know the results of certain breeding combinations, so I
know, say four or five rules of the type P1 + P2 -> P2, P2 or P5. If I
suspect that these are the only 9 phenotypes, how do I establish the minimum
possible genotype base and then what experiments would I need to carry
out to prove that this is in fact the actual genotype base (or to prove
that it is a more complicated situation than the minimum genotype base).
If I am barking up the wrong tree, please let me know and, if possible,
point me in the right direction.
