Scamp 2.5ga for unix is now at the metabolic regulation archive,
bmsdarwin.brookes.ac.uk (161.73.104.10). Log in as `anonymous' and
enter your email address as your password. Scamp is powerful file
driven metabolic simulator (and much more) written by Herbert Sauro
(herb at bms.brookes.ac.uk). Typical usage follows:
csh> ftp bms.brookes.ac.uk
... (You'll be welcomed to the archive)
ftp> binary
200 Type set to I.
ftp> cd pub/software/unix
250 CWD command successful
ftp> get scamp-2.5ga.tar.Z
... (get a coffee --- it's 2Mb)
ftp> bye

csh> uncompress scamp-2.5ga.tar.Z
csh> tar xf scamp-2.5ga.tar.Z
csh> cd scamp-2.5ga
csh> make install (report errors to me or Herbert)

csh> cp bin/* /usr/local/bin (or wherever else you want them)
csh> setenv SCAMP_BIN /usr/local/bin (setting of this environment v.)
csh> export SCAMP_BIN (can be put in your .login file)

csh> cd models/tests/sim_ss (losts of tests and e.g.s included)
csh> scamp expl4.cmd (analyse the input file)
