I must have suffered a brain fart. As others have pointed out, it's
going to be much closer to $800. MacWeek (11.14.94) says $699 (list).
The number I haven't figured out is what's the increment if you buy a
6100 with the card installed (reported list for the combo is $2499,
but I don't know what list is for a "bare" 6100). The original
Houdini added about $100 to the cost of a Quadra 610 (U price, anyway).
Reply Corp. will be releasing cards for Quadras, priced at $495-$595
(486 DX2/50 or /66).
