Menu items for the Genetic Data Environment (GDE) of Steven Smith are now
available for the following programs from the FSAP package:

NUMSEQ - sequence numbering, formatting & translation
BACHREST - batch restriction site search. Now uses REBASE.
P1HOM, - dot-matrix similarity searches for DNA and protein
P2HOM,
D3HOM,
D4HOM

These files are included in the file fsap.tar.Z in the directory psgendb
at ftp.cc.umanitoba.ca.

GDE is an program that provides an X-windows environment for running
molecular sequence analysis programs. It is so easy to add programs
to the GDE menu that you have to try it to believe how easy it is!
GDE is available by anonymous FTP to megasun.bch.umontreal.ca.
