Along these lines, I have location data in Lat./Longitude format that
was generated from a list of place names (collecting sites). I would
like to produce a map of North America with state or some geographic
boundaries drawn, with the coordinate data overlaid. That's a very
simple problem, isn't it? What software does this in a painless way?
