Hi,
My lab is conducting research on the expression of a a specific
mitochondrial gene in murine granulosa cells. One of the techniques
we've been using is immunofluorescent staining. We have recently come
to the conclusion that we need some sort of image-analysis software
for that purpose. We're interested in a package that will provide
the following:
 1) Run on a 386 PC.
 2) Have most features provided by such packages as the NIH Image.
That is: preprocessing & processing, LUT programming, thresholding,
   density slice, macros/callable routines asf.
3) A bonus of object recognition ability (other than provided by the
stuff above) will be very nice.
and...
Recommendations for a good camera for a fluorescent microscope, a good
framegrabber. Right now we're using oil lens, but we're not
addicted to that.
Reference literature on the subject welcome.
			Thanx in advanx :-)
