Well, Leonard I found the comment about bad-marketing appropriate to
the discussion and I disagree with you.  Far too often I see the blind
leading the blind using expensive commercial computer software that is
not really appropriate for the task, written by people who have little
or no knowledge of the problem domain.

Most of the comments I have seen on this thread actually relate to the
_cost_ of software rather than its features or availability and I think
that indicates the problem many of us have in justifying our need for
new software.
