You can connect to the Jackson lab site by gopher or anonymous ftp.

Gopher:  Point your gopher client at merlot.welch.jhu.edu and select
         the following directories:

 -->  2.  FTP Sites For Biology/

    -->  15. Encyclopedia of the Mouse Genome (Jackson Laboratory)/


Ftp:  anonymous ftp to encyclo.jax.org.
