Problem:
We have a database which we'd like to make accessible via an email server.
More specifically it is access to the database query program which is to
be provided.
Email is not necessarily essential as the `front-end' i.e. requests *might*
be submitted by telnet sessions to a port.
This sort of thing is done routinely by other sites.
Preferably there should be logging of accesses plus queuing of requests. So,
the question, can anyone point me in the direction of any (e.g.) PD/commercial
software which provides this functionality.
We are running SGI IRIX and currently have NQS.
