Greetings,
A lab here at the Med. Ctr. seems to be having a problem with IBI's Pustell
sequence analysis package. The package is the PC version. The "Sentinel"
software guard (or "Dongle") device's battery is dead. IBI or Kodak (IBI
is a Kodak subsd.) cannot locate a replacement battery. However, IBI is
still trying. In the meantime, the user cannot access the software.
My question is does anybody have a way to get around this predicament. The
software is licensed. But, either user or distributor hindsight has led
to this inconvenience. I hear that you could replace the battery "temporarily"
from another user's copy but I don't think anybody would be willing to do
that since this would be an inconvenience to the "Good Samaritan" instead.
I am open to suggestions. Any help directed to me or the user
(MDMS at db1.cc.rochester.edu) would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Charles Alexander
