I have just put NEWSRDR V4.0 up for anonymous FTP on PUBLIC.TGV.COM in
directory [.MADISON.NEWSRDR].
NEWSRDR is an NNTP client for VMS systems. It has been completely
rewritten in C for this new release. Besides repairing the known defects
in the last release, V4.0 has some new features, including support for
use of a "newsrc" file along with its own format profile. The file
AAREADME.TOO in the distribution directory gives a complete change history.
* If you retrieved a copy of NEWSRDR from PUBLIC.TGV.COM prior to reading
* this article, you probably have a beta-test version, even if it was not
* labelled as such. The ZIP files there now comprise the "offically official"
* V4.0 release.
