Genbank FASTA server -> NCBI?

Regarding the difficulties of putting up both FASTA and BLAST,
and the e-mail traffic on the subject, has anyone done a
comparison of the results obtained from both?

I suspect some one has and it would be interesting to post the
results and/or the references.
