PC-NFS, available from Sun Microsystems, has the option of using
SLIP which "gives a PC running PC-NFS access to remote systems and
networks through direct wiring or by telephone and modem." I have
no personal experience with SLIP, but we use PC-NFS and are
quite happy with it.
