The names of the newsgroups should not have been changed at Daresbury.
We have found and reported to Daresbury some problems with their lists
over the last few weeks but this has not been one of them. You should
contact them directly by mailing to biosci at daresbury.ac.uk. My hope
is that the remaining list problems at Daresbury will be ironed out
this week. The transition from IRLEARN went reasonably well, but we
are still smoothing out some of the problems from the system. It
sounds to me from your description that the problem may be in the way
that your local newsreader interacts with Daresbury's mail headers.
You may have to have your systems programmer contact them. Better yet
why not get a standard newsreader???!!! They are free.
