It seems that due to a bug in our news software that corrupted
the 'From' address, the following message only reached Net people
and not the Bionet mailing list. For that reason I'm reposting
this directly to the Bionet mailing list. Apologies for any
feelings of deja vu this may cause if your using a newsreader.

I have received a number of requests for machine readable copies of the
mutation data matrices and tables from the recently published paper
in CABIOS [Jones D.T., Taylor W.R. and Thornton J.M. (1992)
CABIOS 8:275-282]. To make things easier I've decided to make the data
available by e-mail file server. I have packaged together both the data
from the paper and the most up to date data I have calculated, along
with a PAM calculation program that will generate matrices for any
integral PAM distance, and a brief README file.
To receive the matrix data, send an e-mail message to:
matrix-request at bsm.bioc.ucl.ac.uk
