Then there's no need to set up a BIOSCI list (unless for convenience)
because one can periodically send the Gene-Server INDEX commands to find out
what new stuff has appeared. On the other hand, if a BIOSCI list WERE
created, I bet submissions would increase.

I'm puzzled by this statement. There's lots of stuff listed in the
files returned with the INDEX commands which don't show up when I look in the
FTP area of ftp.bchs.uh.edu.
