Flow Cytometry Graphics?

Dear Netters:

I was wondering if anyone has experience in the transfer of FACS (Flow
Cytometry graphics to either and IBM or MAC environment? We have HP9000
computers running several Beton Dickinson Flowcytometers and do our analysis
in BD's Lysis II or Consort 30 programs. The analysis is fine, but BD does
not give one many options to export the final graphics, except to print to
their standard Paintjet printers, etc. Several investigators would like to
take those graphics and import them into their favorite graphics or
word processor to annotate, crop, etc.

We have thought about trying to connect the HP's to an IBM PC to capture
the data that is sent to the printer, but have no experience doing that
between HP and IBM. The HP's connect to the Paintjet printer with a
IEEE 488 interface. Does that present any problems? The best option would
be if anyone knows a way to redirect the output from the HP port to a file on
the HP, which can then be transfered to the IBM or MACS.

Any help/suggestions would be appreciated.
