Reinhard did a very nice job of setting up his gopher hole.
Much more informative and interesting -- with lots of useable
biology data bases that are indexed and ready to answer many
of your questions.
Also, by implication from how quickly Reinhard set this up,
and from my own experience, this is a quick and easy way to
make data available in a very useful fashion to many people.
Even if you don't think Gopher is the best final way, it is
so simple that you can do it quickly then spend your time thinking
about how to do it otherwise. Please look at Reinhard's instructions
on setting up a new Gopher server, rather than mine. His
instructions are very good on this.
