Most likely the plotter file is in HP-GL format (or possibly RD-GL) in which
case you can convert it to Postscript with the hpgl2ps program. In the
unlikely event that the plotter file is in DXY format the hpgl2ps package
can handle that too.

You can obtain hpgl2ps by anonymous ftp from many sites around the
world - here are just a few of the sites given by an archie search:

Host rigel.acs.oakland.edu

    Location: /pub/msdos/postscript
           FILE -rw-r--r-- 118499 Aug 26 1989 hpgl2ps.arc
    Location: /pub/unix-c/postscript
           FILE -rw-r--r-- 28946 Mar 5 1989 hpgl2ps1.tar-z
           FILE -rw-r--r-- 51401 Mar 5 1989 hpgl2ps2.tar-z

Host cs.orst.edu

    Location: /pub/src/text/filters
           FILE -rw-rw-r-- 29130 Jan 14 1992 hpgl2ps.tar.Z

Host server.uga.edu

    Location: /pub/sgi
           FILE -r--r--r-- 45168 Jul 7 09:20 hpgl2ps.tar.Z

Hope this helps,
