You seem to be aware of tcsh, which is a non-standard Unix shell
("user interface") that supports arrow keys for recycling command
lines. You can find tcsh to install on most Unix systems thru
various ftp archives that support unix. Several people here
use it with gcg software. When the gcg package says you "must"
use csh, I don't think they mean that the close cousin tcsh
won't work, just that they haven't tested it. They mainly mean
that their shell scripts use c-shell syntax, as opposed to
bourne shell (sh) syntax. The tcsh shell also uses c-shell syntax
for script processing.
