I'd like to find some software or code to scan a sequence for
simple inversions. The standard software for detection of
inverted repeats that I've seen requires absolute identity of
the repeated sequence. Optimally, one should be able to vary
the minimum length and the degree of divergence of the potentially
detectable inversions. Any assistance would be appreciated.
