I have been interested if anybody would use the WAIS sources on
nic.funet.fi... After all if I invest some time into preparing
sources I would like to know that they are being used. Well it
has been roughly a week since I officially announced the
availability of the sources and if I run a grep on the
server.log and pipe to wc I see that there has been 110
connections made... not bad considering no one knew anything
about WAIS a few months ago.

I love lists, so here is a list of the main users at the
momment. I hope this is not a breach of confidentiality, but rather
praise for pioneers. The split is almost 50/50 between Europe/States,
which to my mind would indicate that "Europeans" are quick to
accept new technology... (oh! how we like to snivel and lamment
that we lag behind... its just not true).

By the way did you see that juicy REBASE text... drool... I just
think it is begging to be a source.
