Treetool by Mike Maciukenas at the Ribosomal RNA Database Project is now
available via anonymous ftp from golgi.harvard.edu (128.103.161.65). The
program can be used directly from within GDE using the DeSoete treeing program
already in the standard distribution. No additional setup is needed, simply
place the program in the GDE binaries directory, and away you go.
This is a beta version of treetool in binary form only. The final version
will have many more features. It is located in the contrib directory of
golgi.harvard.edu, and is a Sun4 (sparcstation) binary file.
