You might get adhesive residue on the piercing nails. That's the only 
reason I'm aware of that ABI switched from recommending foil seals 
(3700) to heat seals (3730).

ABgene has a relatively inexpensive heat sealer (I don't mean the 
$20,000 monster recomended by ABI). It works fine. It is even possible 
to remove the heat seal film and reseal (if you don't over seal the 
first time.)
