RESEARCH TECHNICIAN

Laboratory research technician positions are open at the Harvard Medical
School and Brigham and Women's Hospital in the laboratory of Dr. Raju
Kucherlapati.  Work is centered on the use of knockout technologies in mice
to identify genes involved in colorectal cancer.  The technician positions
involve general laboratory tasks, isolation of DNA, genotyping by PCR,
Southern hybridization, maintenance of mouse colonies and microsatellite
analysis.  Proficiency in molecular biology is required.  Candidates should
have at least a BS degree in biology or related science field and several
years of laboratory experience or have a MS degree.  The positions require
attention to detail, good communication skills, the ability to work both
independently and as part of team, and dedication to doing the best job
possible.  A minimum of a two-year commitment is requested.  Prior work
