ABI sequencers using Dyes and Sanger old-style sequencing

I wonder is it possible to use an ABI 377 to sequence samples using
one lane for each of the four bases and then compile these four lanes
into one chromatogram, where the base assignment for the peak is
assigned due to which lane the chromatogram came from irrespective of
the dye used.

I hope that some one can help me.
