I think 3100 is absolutely better due to ABI technology. We have a
ABI310 and had ever tested a CEQ2000 for 2 months. We got some good
sequence results from CEQ2000 as well as our abi310 377 and megabace
1000.
The big problem of CEQ2000 is that its laser and fluorescence is very
different so you can use reagent only from Beckman. ABI3100 is the
update version of abi310. You know we use many different reagent on
ABI3100 ABI310 or 377. AND these reagent are come from different
company such as ABI bigdye or Amersham ET
The only excuse to choose ceq200 is its price.
If you need more throughput megabace500 is another choice.
