Postdoctoral position in Biostatistics

Postdoctoral position is available in the Department of Pediatrics,
Washington University, St. Louis, MO.  The position allows the applicant to
play a significant role between the clinic and laboratory research.  It
involves high throughput DNA sequencing and genotyping projects that have
access to clinical databases.  It requires experience in genome databases,
sequencing software (phrap, phrep, polyphrep, and consed) which will be
based on linux operating system.  Programming between operating systems
(linux, Mac. OS X, and NT systems) is a plus.  The applicant will perform
statistical analysis on genetic variation within population-based studies
(ie. 40,000 samples) and on genotype/phenotype correlation.  Familiarity in
mulitivariate techniques, discriminate analysis and power analysis is
recommended.  The interested candidate will work in an academic-research
environment with clinicians.
