Taq sequencing

Below is experimental evidence to support Philip San Miguel's response as
to the question about Taq fidelity.  In the lab for each seqeuncing gel, 75
so far, a sequencing reaction utilitzing the control plasmid and primer
from the ABI BigDye terminator kit was done and subsequently compared to
the published sequence  (from Promega Corp.) for  pGEM3zf.  For the first
400 bases of each reaction, which is the reliable read length of the gel,
there has never been a misincorporated base.  That is 16,000 bases without
a mistake for Taq polymerase.
