PE Applied Biosystems is accepting applications for the following
position in the Genetic Analysis Applications Group in Foster City, CA:

Applications Specialist / Genetic Mapping

Providing a worldwide applications focus for Genetic Analysis products,
you will develop, optimize and support microsatellite mapping
applications on 310, 377 and 3700 platforms.  This will involve
extensive interaction with R&D, product and market management groups, as
well as field sales and support staff. You will also produce technical
documents, support test sites, address seminars and user meetings,
assist product managers and marketing managers with strategy
development, and occasionally perform pre-sales product demonstrations.
You must possess the skills and knowledge normally acquired through the
completion of BS/BA (MS/PhD preferred) in Biology, Molecular Biology or
Biochemistry and 3+ years experience (or 6+ years experience for senior
level), or equivalent.  Experience with genetic mapping on ABI Prism
373, 377 or 310 is strongly preferred.  Excellent written and verbal
communication skills, the ability to interact with customers and good
bench skills are also needed.  Requires travel (20%). Req #9852
