we've just purchased new 66 cm gel plates for the lab and i plan to use
them this week. do they have to be washed with soap and water before the
first use or are they ready for use as is? also, what is the generally
recommended cleaning procedure for plates? i usually wash them well with
soap & water, followed by a ethanol and isopropanol wipe.
