Kimeragen, a growing biotechnology company located in
Newtown, Pennsylvania, between Princeton New Jersey, and Philadelphia
Pennsylvania, has an immediate opening in our DNA sequencing facility.
The sequencing lab currently supports the research performed at the
Newtown facility and from our outside collaborators. The facility is
responsible for providing a full service, which includes the editing and
annotation of the sequencing data. Future plans for the facility
include a growth in technology, equipment and personnel to enable the
facility to meet GLP standards.
The person in this position will be responsible for the
daily operations of the sequencing facility; preparation and clean up of
sequencing gels, operation of automated sequencers, computer analysis of
primary sequence data, record-keeping, troubleshooting and soliciting
technical support. The applicant must be able to work independently, be
highly organized, efficient, responsible, possess good communication
skills, and be ready to participate in the growth of the facility to
meet the needs of Kimeragen.
This position requires several years of experience with
automated DNA sequencer technology, with DNA Analysis software on Mac OS
and Windows NT platforms, and with common molecular biology techniques.
Experience with GLP standards is a plus.
