Role of DMSO and Glycerol in sequencing

Hi All,

I am interested to know how DMSO and glycerol work on
difficult-to-sequence templates.  DMSO and glycerol are routinely used
in dye terminator reactions on the templates that are otherwise
difficult to sequence.  Any comments will be greatly appreciated.
