You may wish to contact the folks at GeneCodes (800-497-4939)
to see if their program - Sequencher - will run on your system.
It does address your need to import ABI traces/data. Great for
aligning sequence data into contigs, editing bases by viewing the
compared electropheragrams, can show restriction sites and protein
translations etc.
