I am considering way in which to detect mutations on a large number of DNA
samples. I am wondering first of all whether SSCP is the way to go or just to
sequence the gene directly. If I do proceed with the SSCP I would be
performing this on a ABI 373 using GENESCAN. Doing it this way I will run
into the gel cooling problem. Perkin-Elmer has a temperature control upgrade
for the 377 but not the 373. Any ideas would be appreciated.
