Hi Suzanne,
Why not try the 0.2 mm 'Duckbill tips' from Anachem for well
loading.

Subject: Hamilton syringes
Hi all,
I've just inherited a lab that uses the hamilton syringe to load gels.
I'm
noticing that these are very delicate things. A problem they started
having
right before I came here is sudden stops and starts when loading. As you
can
image it is having some disastrous results on our gels. Not to mention
the
actual plungers themselves. (We lost three) Is there a way to make them
slide
better? My predeccessor always stored the syringe full of isopropanol.
Could
that be a problem?
TIA,
Suzanne McNeely
