We have an immediate opening for a Research Technician in the DNA Core
Facility at Seattle Biomedical Research Institute.
The position will require operating an ABI 373A automated DNA sequencer
and
sequencing for a variety of internal and external users. There may also
be
some involvement with a Leishmania genome sequencing project. Specific
duties will include cloning, template prep, sequencing, analysis, and
operational management of the Core Facility. The candidate must have B.S.
or M.S. in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry or Microbiology, with 1+ years
experience in automated DNA sequencing (ABI) and computer skills
(database/spreadsheet/networks), as well as good communication skills.
