RESEARCH SCIENTIST IV. Responsible for overall administration of  DNA 
sequencing center,
including personnel and financial management, technical activities, 
quality assurance, collaborative research projects, and technology 
transfer. 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: MS in science and five years directly related 
experience or PhD in
science and two years directly related experience. 

DEPARTMENT SPECIFICATIONS REQUIRED: MS in a Life Science and five 
years experience in
DNA biochemistry or PhD in a Life Science and two years experience in 
DNA biochemistry; one yearexperience in personnel, budget, laboratory 
and computer-data management; excellent written and oral scientific 
communication skills. 

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: Broad experience in recombinant DNA 
technology, automated DNA
sequence analysis, genetic analysis, and collaborative 
multi-disciplinary research projects. Experience in lab safety and 
supervising. Salary: $3,336.66-$4,589.83 per month (depending
experience/qualifications/budget/policy).Grant ends March, 1997. 
Continuance dependent on continuance of grant.
