We saw some green haze early on when our plates were in use only a couple
of months, but haven't seen any since we switched to desalting by spin
columns. We clean each time with Alconox powder sprinkled on the wet
plates from a plastic pizza condiment shaker, followed by scrubbing with a
paper towel and rinsing with copious tap water and then distilled water.
We have not used any other methods to clean the plates to date and they are
about 10 months old.
