Hi,
I'll try to make this as short as possible. I just set up a database using AceDB.
Here is what I know:
-the db works fine using simple xace, tace
-If I run saceserver manually, and then run saceclient on the same machine, I can manage my db textually.
$ /acedb9a/saceserver /database/poinsettia 777771
$ /acedb9a/saceclient 127.0.0.1 -port 777771
-when I shutdown the aceserver (the one I started manually) and then try to run the aceclient using the second command (to let xinetd pick up), it prompts me for a username and password, just like before, but after I enter the password CORRECTLY, it gives me the following error message:
[acedb at spot lib]$ /acedb9a/saceclient 152.1.155.46 -port 777771
Please enter userid: acedb
Please enter passwd:
FATAL ERROR - (acedb on spot.ppath.ncsu.edu) reported by program saceclient (ACEDB 4_9a), in file acesocketlib.c, at line 284: connect error system error 111 - Connection refused
-the service is registered in /etc/services (this must be working because it prompted me for a passwd)
Can someone please give me some advice?
