As far as I know nobody is working on an ODBC driver. I looked at
this superficially a few years ago because it would clearly open up a
lot of possibilities, but (a) it seemed a lot of work, and (b) (more
important) ODBC seemed quite tightly coupled to the relational model,
and acedb is not relational, so there seemed a real design mismatch.
If anyone with more knowledge has looked at this, and decided it is
feasible, and wants to do it, then great.
