Hi Rachel,

I believe ATCC sells a Kex2 knockout strain of S. cerevisiae. It is
from the S.
cerevisiae systematic deletion project. The genotype of this strain in
ATCC is labeled as KEX2 but it is actually kex2 knockout because I asked
the technical support in ATCC. Just search Kex2 on ATCC web and it
should come up.

Hi all,

Does anybody have, or know where I could source, a kex2 deletion strain
of either P. pastoris or S. cerevisiae?

Many thanks,

Rachel.

Dear Rachel,

The Saccharomyces Genome Database Locus Summary page for KEX2

http://db.yeastgenome.org/cgi-bin/locus.pl?locus=kex2

contains a link to order deletion strains constructed in the S.
cerevisiae systematic deletion project:

http://db.yeastgenome.org/cgi-bin/orderMutantStrains.pl?locus=YNL238W

I hope this is helpful; please let me know if you have further
questions.

Best regards,
Maria
