Dear yeast friends,

Those of you who are SGM members will have received voting papers for
the election of new SGM Council members. I would encourage you to vote,
but would not want to influence your vote in any way! Having said this,
I would like to point out that the only eukaryotic microbiologist on the
list of candidates is Neil Gow, and that he is keen to promote the
interests of eukaryotic microbiologists within the SGM.

I apologise to those of you who have received this message, but are not
members of the SGM. (Hopefully we can make the society more relevant to
you in the future!) Also, I apologise to those of you who might have
received multiple copies of this message through different e-mail lists.

Best wishes,
Iain Hagan
