Hello,
SGD has added the initial results of the genome comparison between S.
cerevisiae, S. castellii, and S. kluyveri. These results are kindly
provided pre-publication by Paul Cliften and Mark Johnston. You can
view ClustalW alignments of the orthologous proteins by choosing the
"Fungal alignments" option under the "Comparison Resources" menu on the
locus pages of genes with orthologs in at least one of the other
species. SGD plans to add additional comparison information to this
page in the future.
The Genome Center at Washington University in St. Louis provides an
additional tool for searching these data: a BLAST resource that allows
users to find regions of homology between S. cerevisiae and the
additional species S. mikatae, S. kudriavzevii, S. bayanus, S.
castellii, and S. kluyveri.
